This game is a near-future hard-science-adjacent roleplaying game set primarily in the Earth-Moon system of 2058. Humanity has established a permanent presence beyond Earth, with settlements on Luna, stations at the Earth-Moon Lagrange points, asteroid prospectors, and the first generation of deep-space infrastructure beginning to reshape civilization.
The game uses the familiar 2d6 skill-based framework inspired by Traveller and Cepheus-derived systems. Characters possess characteristics, skills, equipment, and backgrounds, and most tasks are resolved by rolling 2d6 plus skill and characteristic modifiers against a target number.
While the mechanics will feel routine to Traveller players, the assumptions behind the setting are significantly different.
For general rules, the reader is directed to either Cepheus Engine Orbital 2100, or Mongoose Traveller current edition.
