Welcome to IN-SYSTEM

This is a near-future hard-science-adjacent roleplaying game set in our solar system in 2058. Humanity has established a permanent presence beyond Earth, with settlements on Luna, stations at the Earth-Moon Lagrange points, and outposts on Mars, in The Belt, and on certain moons. Of course there are asteroid prospectors, and the first generation of deep-space infrastructure beginning to reshape civilization.

The game uses the familiar 2d6 skill-based framework used by Traveller and Cepheus-derived systems. Characters possess characteristics, skills, equipment, and backgrounds, and most tasks are resolved by rolling 2d6 plus skill and characteristic modifiers against a target number.

While the mechanics will feel routine to Traveller players, the assumptions behind the setting are significantly different.

For general rules, the reader is directed to either Cepheus Engine Orbital 2100, which is the best fit; failing that Cepheus Universal SRD or Mongoose Traveller. Regarding Tech Level, think of this game as T9 minus jump drives.
